The problem

The problem isn't invoicing. It's knowing what you actually earned.

As soon as part of your business is paid in a foreign currency, the question is no longer "how much did I invoice" but "what does that amount to, at home, today."

Two currencies, one set of books

A client in Paris pays in euros, another in Douala pays in CFA francs. Your totals still need to land cleanly in a single currency.

Manual conversions

Spreadsheet, calculator, a rate looked up on some random day: every document becomes a chance to be off by a zero.

A rate that shifts after the fact

The quote is accepted at one rate, the invoice issued at another. The margin you calculated erodes without anyone deciding it should.

What sets us apart

The rate is locked at the moment of issuance. Permanently.

Most tools recalculate your totals at today's rate. The result: a document issued three months ago is no longer worth the same thing this morning, and your history rewrites itself.

Devisio does the opposite. The applied rate is recorded on the document itself. An invoice issued at 655.96 stays at 655.96 — whatever happens on the markets afterward.

  • Every quote and every invoice carries its own rate
  • Converting to an invoice reuses the quote's rate
  • Your totals consolidated in FCFA stay stable over time

Quote issued on March 12

1 € = 655.96 FCFA · €4,500.00

Two months later, the market rate has moved.

Without a locked rate

2,951,820

2,903,400

The historical amount rewrites itself.

With Devisio

2,951,820

FCFA

The March 12 rate stays attached to the document.

The invoice generated from this quote reuses exactly the same rate.

Frequently asked questions

What exactly is a "locked rate"?+

The moment you issue a quote or an invoice, Devisio records the exchange rate on the document itself. If the rate changes afterward, the document and its CFA franc equivalent no longer move. Your past totals stay consistent, and a document already issued never rewrites itself.

Can I invoice a diaspora client in euros?+

Yes. Each client can have a preferred currency (FCFA, EUR or USD) that is automatically suggested when creating a quote. The document is drafted in that currency, and its CFA franc equivalent appears for your bookkeeping.

Do I need to install anything?+

No. Devisio runs in your browser, on computer or phone. Your data is hosted and backed up — there is nothing to install or maintain.

Is it suited to my industry?+

Devisio isn't specialized for any particular trade: a quote's lines are products or services, and projects fit a construction site as well as a consulting engagement or a marketing campaign.

Can I work with a team?+

Yes. A company can bring together several members, each with their own account and role. Invitations are sent by email from the organization's settings.

What happens to my data if I stop?+

It belongs to you. Your documents stay viewable and printable, and you can request an export of all your data at any time.
